Microsoft Single Sign-on (Entra ID) with SkyCiv

Requirements 

• SkyCiv Business Account
• The Business Admin Account User
• Microsoft Entra ID Plan and Access

Step 1: Setup the App registration

This step is completed in the Microsoft Entra admin center. Here, we need to set up a new app registration for SkyCiv.

1. In the Microsoft Entra admin center go to Applications -> App registrations.
2. Click New Registration
3. Give the App a name (SkyCiv)
4. For supported account types select: 
   • Accounts in this organizational directory only (Default Directory only – Single tenant)
5. Click Register

Step 2: Setup the Authentication

For this step you need both Microsoft Entra admin center access and SkyCiv My Team page access.

1. Visit the My Team Page 
2. Click Setup Microsoft Entra ID
3. Back in the Microsoft Entra admin center visit open the SkyCiv App registration we set up in step 1.
4. Visit Authentication 
5. Click Add a Platform -> Web.
6. Back in the SkyCiv My Team page, copy the first Redirect URI and paste in the Redirect URIS on Entra ID
7. Click Configure 
8. Click Add URI and add the second Redirect URI from the My Team Page.
9. Click Save

Step 3: Setup a Client Secret

For this step, you need both Microsoft Entra admin center access and SkyCiv My Team page access.

1. Visit Certificates and Secrets
2. Click New Client secret.
3. Enter a description and expires data and click Add
4. Copy the value (Note: it will only show once)
5. Return to the SkyCiv My Team page and paste the value in the Client Secret entry.

Step 4: Configure SkyCiv

For this step, you need both Microsoft Entra admin center access and SkyCiv My Team page access.

1. Back in the Microsoft Entra admin center SkyCiv app registration visit the Overview tab. 
2. Grab the Application (client) ID from the Overview Panel in Entra ID and copy it into SkyCiv Client ID input.
3. Copy the Directory (tenant) ID from the Overview Panel in Entra ID and copy it into SkyCiv Tenant ID input.
4. Click Save on the Entra ID popup on the My Team page.

Step 5: Test

Your Entra ID App Registration should now be complete, please test that this is working correctly. If you need support contact [email protected]

• The first link on the SkyCiv My Team -> Setup Entra ID popup is the login/homepage link for Branding and Properties ->Home page URL.

• Note: Users will be automatically added to your business account page when they register through the link. Users with an existing account will need to be added from the SkyCiv My Team page after connecting with Entra ID.
