Translations Available in the Software
Software translation has been no doubt one of the most requested features from our users. We listened to your request, and for the entire year, our team has been working hard on implementing and testing new language options to the SkyCiv platform. Starting this October, you’ll be able to use the software in Spanish, French, German, and Italian for most features!
To switch languages, just head to Account Settings > Software Settings > Software Language.
This feature is still in beta as we’re adding the finishing touches on some features to fully support these translations, and we’d love your feedback to help make it perfect. Please try the new language option and let us know your thoughts – we’ll incorporate them to improve this feature for all users!
New Addition to the SkyCiv Connection Design
Following September’s addition of a single-plate horizontal brace connection, we’ve brought another update to the SkyCiv Connection Design Module! This month, you’ll find the single angle to beam and girder connection for AISC 360-16 ASD/LRFD standards available in the module. This horizontal bracing connection supports both bolted and welded configurations for single-angle connections, as well as brace shapes including L, 2L, WT, and HSS sections.
New Quick Design Calculators
This October, we’re excited to introduce two new calculators to our Quick Design library!
First, the ADM Aluminum 2020 Calculator allows you to check hollow rectangular, I, C, and hat sections according to ADM 2020, supporting both Allowable Stress Design (ASD) and Load Resistance Factor Design (LRFD).
The second addition is the EN 1992-1-1 Reinforcement Anchorage & Lap Length Calculator. It is to designed to make anchorage (development) and lap length calculations easier while adhering to EN 1992-1-1 standards.
Visit our Quick Design page to explore more calculators in the library!
