Structural Engineer - Product Developer (Sydney)

Outgoing. Engineer. Customer Service.

Location: Sydney, Australia
Experience: 5+ years in Structural Engineering

SkyCiv is looking for a driven Structural Engineer with experience in the field of structural analysis and design (minimum 5 years). The role is a mix of applying qualified structural engineering skills as well as a desire to hone your programming skills. We want someone who has an entrepreneurial mind, an established network and a strong technical background in structural analysis and design!

The role is a mix of product development , technical development, account management for API users, customer support and marketing with overall accountabilities in the implementation process of the API.

As a minimum, the successful candidate should have:

  • Experience in structural analysis and design
  • Experience in programming languages such as Javascript, JQuery, HTML and CSS, PHP, Python and NodeJs, C++ and .NET framework
  • Experience or interest in Business Development
  • Able to legally live and work in Australia
  • A Bachelor in Civil, Mechanical or Structural Engineering

Location: United States &/or Canada
Experience: 2+ years in Structural Engineering

SkyCiv is looking for a driven Structural Engineer with experience in the field of structural analysis and design (minimum 2 years). We want someone who has an entrepreneurial mind, an established network and a strong technical background in structural analysis and design! They will lead the technical/sales growth across the US and will be a critical part in the growth of SkyCiv and bringing our vision to reality.

The role is a mix of onboarding, sales and will also help influence the direction of our product development. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Onboarding Users - assisting users getting started, customer support enquiries and liasing with the product development team for bugs and feature requests
  • Sales - following up users, demoing the product
  • Management of Content, including: adding/improving documentation, writing technotes and liasing with marketing team for marketing material
  • Product Development - Product testing, providing initial user feedback and planning future updates and features
  • Business development - seeking partnerships, attending tradeshows and networking

As a minimum, the successful candidate should have:

  • Experience in structural analysis and design
  • Interest in technical sales, with an outgoing personality
  • Experience or interest in Business Development
  • Able to legally live and work in the United States
  • A Bachelor in Structural Engineering
