SkyCiv is committed to always improving our software - continually adding value to our loyal users. So just weeks after realeasing our latest v1.2 update - we have already added another two great features to our Structural 3D Software:

Import and Export DXF Files

Users can now import and export files from other software. File compatibility is a pressing issue in Structural Engineering which is why SkyCiv is working towards a more integrated and streamlined process for Structural Design engineers. Users can now import csv and dxf files so that they can easily work with architects in design. Επιπροσθέτως, Structural 3D can also export dxf and STL files so your structure can easily be integrated with CAD programs.

Job Cleanup

Job Cleanup is an ongoing function that will continue to help engineers model their structures. It works to repair your model in the event that it has not been modelled or imported correctly. Για παράδειγμα, a number of architectural files incorrectly connect nodes to members. Job Cleanup is able to repair this so that you don't have to go through your entire model to check the nodes are all connected - a process that generally takes hours on a large structure. The primary functions for Job Cleanup are:

• Remove disconnected (επιπλέων) κόμβοι
• Repair nodes that are splitting members, but not actually connected
• Remove unused Sections
