After visiting the Barrio of Caracolí in the South of Bogota, I was pretty shocked and saddened by some of conditions and stories of what these children were exposed to. One of our employees, Oscar, volunteers there on Saturdays and I was fortunate to go with him and see this first hand.

Kids, as young as 4, are often left home-alone while the parents go out and work to try and provide for their families. Often, they are left without food or supervision for the entire day.

The St Mary’s church is the only sanctuary for a lot of these kids. They are fed and enjoy time away from their homes playing football with other kids. They are also given some form of an education from volunteers, but this is fairly limited.

I think we can really help them, and with just a simple round of golf we can raise money to go directly towards this community and helping these kids and families out.

100% of the money will go directly to the school and community to provide food, clothing and support to the children and families in the barrio.

The day is going to be a lot of fun – with mini games, side bets and challenges including an opportunity to win $5k in a hole-in-one competition!
