Axial

Display the single member axial forces acting on each member of your structure.

Simple

Use the simple option to view numerical axial results overlaid onto the structure. Note in the example above that:

• Compression is denoted by (c)
• Tension is denoted by (t)
• Members experiencing zero force is denoted by '0 member'

The axial force labels can be dragged to improve clarity. You can reset the position of the labels by rotating or dragging the structure.

Normal

Use the normal option to view single member axial force diagrams overlaid onto the structure. Note in the example above that:

• Compression is positive
• Tension is negative

Clicking an individual member will allow you to view the axial force diagram for that member whilst hiding all others. To reshow the other axial force diagrams, reclick the Axial button on the left navigation menu.
