SkyCiv Hackathon is the annual tradition that challenges us to build innovative solutions for structural engineers. Este año, the top 3 submissions really blew away and we’re so excited to share them with you:

SkyCiv Connection Design – New Update

We’ve made a key update to the wide flange beam-to-column moment connection using flange plates in SkyCiv Connection Design. This improvement adds column stiffeners, which significantly improve the column’s capacity to resist axial and moment loads transferred from the beam while ensuring compliance with AISC standards.

Beneficios clave:

• Improved load distribution: Stiffeners help distribute the forces more effectively, reducing localized stresses and increasing the overall strength and stability of the connection.
• Enhanced structural integrity: This update ensures better performance in high-load applications and minimizes potential deformations or failures at the connection points.

SkyCiv Quick Design – ACI 318-19 Concrete Column

The latest addition to the Diseño rápido SkyCiv módulo, la ACI 318-19 Calculadora de columna de concreto, enables users to design reinforced concrete rectangular and circular columns for tension, compresión, axial load, momento, La base de hormigón: generalmente comprobada frente a las fuerzas de compresión y de apoyo con referencia a ACI.
